Breast Fat Transfer (Natural Breast Augmentation)
Natural breast augmentation, also referred to as Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation, is a breast enhancement procedure designed to increase breast size without the use of implants. SURGICAL TECHNIQUE
During this procedure, you will be placed under some type of anesthesia. The type of sedation or numbing medication will be based upon how much fat is being extracted, as well as the body area it will be reinstated. Liposuction is first used to remove fat via a thin, special cannula to carefully take the fat where it will then be purifed and harvested through a centrifuge, which prepares the viable fat for syringes. After preparing the injection site, the healthy fat tissue will then be injected into the area that needs volume. The injection process is performed in layers until an even aesthetic has been attained. For certain areas of the face, more than one injection may be needed.
Breast Fat Transfer (Natural Breast Augmentation)
Using liposuction, fat is taken from other areas of the body, processed, and injected into the breasts. By using your own fat to increase your breast size you can have a more organic breast enhancement that feels and looks more natural than traditional breast augmentation with implants. However, not everyone is the right candidate for this natural breast augmentation.
Natural breast augmentations are outpatient procedures and are performed at the Nikko Cosmetic Surgery Center in Houston. You will be placed under general anesthesia before undergoing your natural breast augmentation. Using liposuction, Dr. Nikko will remove fat from other areas of the body; this is a great way to remove stubborn fat deposits from elsewhere in the body in conjunction with your natural breast augmentation procedure. Once the fat has been collected, it is harvested and sterilized before being reinserted into the body. Using a specialized tube, known as a cannula, Dr. Nikko injects the fat into the breast area, sculpting and contouring the breasts with minimal scarring. The fullness and projection of the breasts are greatly increased by laying many layers of fine micro-fat grafts throughout the thickness of the muscle and the subcutaneous tissue.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Following this procedure, patients will enter a healing period. Keep in mind, there will be at least 2 sites on the body that require healing, including the extraction area and injection location. The overall recovery may last longer if a larger section on the face was addressed. A good example, a fat transfer for the lips will generally only require a 1 – 2 day recovery, whereas a transfer to a more widespread area, such as the cheeks can take longer. The sites affected will appear red and slightly swollen, but the visible outcomes can be seen almost immediately. An additional bonus is the area where fat was extracted will appear slimmer. A fat transfer yields great results, but there will be some resorption back to the body. For some, a future transfer may be desired down the road. There is minimal scarring visibly seen with this procedure.
