If Dr. Nikko determines that fat transfer or fat grafting is more desired, he will look for areas on the body with the greatest concentration of fat deposits. During your Buttock Augmentation procedure Dr. Nikko will remove the excess fat and re-implant that same fat into the buttock.
Like most cosmetic procedures Buttock Augmentation surgery using buttock implants is a surgical procedure. Patients can expect the buttock area to be sore with light swelling. Dr. Nikko and his staff recommend that patients refrain from any lifting or any activity that would place unnecessary strain in and around the buttock area. Sutures at the implant site will be removed in approximately 10 days following surgery, if they are non-dissolving. Patients should avoid sleeping on their back and to sit with the help of a pillow.
If a Fat Grafting procedure was used in your Buttock Augmentation surgery you can expect minor scarring where the fat was removed and at the area where the fat was injected. Most scars will fade in time.
Results from Buttock Augmentation surgery are immediate although ideally the final results will not be visible until swelling and soreness have fully subsided.
